Surrey City Development Corporation is 100% owned by the City of Surrey and has been incorporated since 2007.

Our role is to undertake real estate development that implements the City’s visions for strategic areas of the City and benefits the citizens and businesses in Surrey.

The Corporation’s objectives include generating financial returns to the City of Surrey, undertaking real estate developments that will achieve the City’s social, community, environmental and economic objectives and acting as a catalyst for private sector projects.

SCDC pursues these objectives by undertaking real estate development, investment and management throughout the City on its own and in partnership with private sector partners.

What We Do

Surrey City Development Corporation exists to:

Undertake real estate development projects that will help achieve the City of Surrey’s social, community, environmental and economic objectives and add value to surplus City-owned lands.

Act as a catalyst to create interest and accelerated development in the City.

Generate an annual revenue stream to the City of Surrey from profits realized from its development activities and from its income property portfolio.

Provide real estate development consulting services to the City of Surrey to help its achieve its strategic vision for redeveloping areas of the City.
